On December 27, the groundbreaking ceremony for the 208MW/416MWh Grid-Side Independent Energy Storage Power Station Construction Project in Gaoming District, Foshan City (short as Foshan Gaoming District Independent Energy Storage Power Station) marked the project's transition into the substantive construction stage.
Attendees at the groundbreaking included Xie Yipeng, Deputy Mayor of Gaoming District, Liang Zhaohui, Deputy Director of Foshan Investment Promotion Bureau, Guo Qibo, Section Chief of Foshan Power Supply Bureau, Yan Richong, Director of Gaoming State owned Assets Bureau, Huang Wanming, Director of Gaoming Investment Promotion Bureau, Zhou Dianyong, Secretary of Party Committee of Gaohe Township Government, Mao Qinghan, Chairman of Guangzhou Energy Storage Group Co., Ltd. and General Manager Hu Zongbao, Li Xiangming, Chairman of Foshan Gaoming Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd. and General Manager Zeng Qingan, Jiang Xinyu, President of Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co. Ltd. and Vice President Cao Chengfeng, Zhang Wei, Chairman of Guangzhou Huayue Electric Power Engineering Design Co., Ltd., Huang Xiaogan, Leader of Guangdong Heguangtong Investment Co., Ltd., along with other relevant government and project leaders.
Foshan Gaoming District Independent Energy Storage Power Station is joint investment project by Guangzhou Energy Storage Group Co., Ltd., Foshan Gaoming Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd., Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Heguangtong Investment Co., Ltd. Guangzhou Huayue Electric Power Engineering Design Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd., serves as the EPC general contractor of the project.
This project marks the first 220kV voltage level new energy storage power station in Foshan Power Grid, with a construction scale of 208MW/416MWh. 9 sets of Zhiguang Electric's independently developed and technically leading High-Voltage Cascade Direct-Mounted Energy Storage Systems will be deployed, configured with full liquid-cooling technology, and the whole energy storage power station adopts Zhiguang Electric's “5S” full-stack technology to realize the whole life cycle management, monitoring and control of the energy storage system.After the project is completed and put into operation, it will provide auxiliary services such as frequency regulation and peak shifting for the power grid, effectively enhance the power supply reliability of the Foshan regional power system, promote new energy consumption, and play an important role in promoting the development of Guangdong's new electric power system, and the project is expected to be completed and put into operation in June 2025.
